A Beginner's First Steps

Fill out our survey

Before you meet with a band director one-on-one, we ask all students to fill out our instrument compatibility survey so that we can get to know your child better before we work together to help them select their first instrument.

Book an appointment

Once your child has completed the survey, it is time to schedule an appointment with a band director so we can complete the instrument selection process. 

You and your child will meet at West Lake (Door #13) for their appointment.

Complete Band Registration

Once you are enrolled in band and your child has attended their appointment with a director, you are ready to register your child for band next year. This process will include taking care of all band related fees, supply orders, and instrument rentals for the year.
